Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside — these Nutella & Banana Wontons are the perfect little sweet treat. Using Lian Huat Wonton Pastry, they’re quick to make and even quicker to disappear. Great for parties, dessert platters, or just when you need a chocolate fix.

Serving: 6 (as a finger food/snack)

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Lian Huat Wonton Pastry (makes ~25-28 pieces)
  • 1 small jar Nutella (or other chocolate hazelnut spread)
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced into small chunks
  • 1 egg (beaten, for sealing)
  • Oil for deep frying (or air fryer option)
  • Icing sugar, for dusting

Method

Prepare the filling: Place ½ teaspoon of Nutella and 1 small piece of banana in the centre of each wonton wrapper.

Seal: Brush the edges with beaten egg, fold into a triangle or bring corners together into a pouch shape. Make sure they’re sealed well so the filling doesn’t leak.

Cook:

  • Frying method: Heat oil to 170°C. Fry wontons in small batches until golden and crisp (about 2–3 minutes).
  • Air fryer method: Lightly brush wontons with oil and air fry at 180°C for 6–7 minutes.

Finish: Dust with icing sugar before serving. Best enjoyed warm.
