These crispy sesame wonton crackers are incredibly easy to make and perfect as a light snack, party nibble, or crunchy topping for salads and soups. Using Lian Huat Wonton Pastry, they fry up beautifully light and crisp in seconds. With just a sprinkle of sesame seeds and salt, you can turn everyday wonton wrappers into irresistible golden crackers.
Ingredients
• 1 pack Lian Huat Wonton Pastry
• 2 tbsp sesame seeds (white or black)
• ½ tsp salt
• Oil for frying
Optional seasoning ideas:
• Garlic powder
• Five spice powder
• Chilli flakes
Method
Cut each wonton pastry into triangles or strips.
Heat oil in a pot or deep pan to about 180°C.
Carefully place a few pieces of pastry into the oil and fry for 10–15 seconds, until golden and crisp.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
While still warm, sprinkle with sesame seeds and salt (or your preferred seasoning).
Serve immediately as a crunchy snack.
