These Noodle Burgers are made with Lian Huat Fresh Noodles, lightly pan-fried until golden and crisp, then stacked with juicy fillings. Perfect for kids, parties, or an easy weeknight twist.
Ingredients (Makes 2 noodle burgers)
Noodle Buns
- 300g Lian Huat Fresh Noodles
- 1 egg
- 1½ tbsp cornflour (or plain flour)
- Pinch of salt
- Oil for pan-frying
Fillings
- 2 beef patties / chicken patties / crumbed chicken / tofu patties
- Lettuce or shredded cabbage
- Tomato slices
- Cheese slices (optional)
Sauce Ideas
- Mayo or kewpie mayo
- Teriyaki sauce
- Sweet chilli sauce
- Burger sauce or hoisin mayo
Method
Prepare the noodles: Boil Lian Huat Fresh Noodles for 1 minute, then drain well and let cool slightly.
Make the noodle buns: In a bowl, mix the noodles with egg, cornflour, and a pinch of salt.
Divide into 4 portions and shape each into a flat round patty (about burger-bun size).
Cook the noodle buns: Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat.
Cook each noodle patty for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden and crispy.
Set aside.
Cook the filling: Cook your burger patties according to preference until fully cooked.
Assemble the noodle burger: Layer as follows: Noodle bun – sauce – patty – cheese/lettuce/tomato – more sauce and top with another noodle bun.
Serve immediately while the noodle buns are crispy.
