Ingredients

  • 227g ground pork/chicken
  • 120g shrimp, chopped into pieces
  • ½ tsp soy sauce or fish sauce
  • 1 egg white
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • 1 pack wonton pastry
  • Water, for sealing
  • Cooking oil, for deep fry

 

Dipping Sauce

  • Thai sweet chilli sauce
  • Mayonnaise

Method

In a big bowl, combine the fillings of ground pork, shrimp, egg white, soy sauce, sesame oil and white pepper together and mix them well thoroughly.

Place 1 tsp of fillings in the center of each wonton pastry and rim the edges of the pastry with water before folding in triangular shape and pinch to seal.

(To make different shape, add another step by just pulling the two corners of the triangle down so one overlaps the other, pinch and seal with water).

Heat up some oil for deep-frying and fry the wontons until golden brown. Serve hot with Thai sweet chili sauce or mayonnaise.
