Rich, savoury, and packed with wok-fried flavour, Seafood Hokkien Mee is a comforting noodle dish that’s perfect for seafood lovers. Using thick and chewy Lian Huat Hokkien noodles, this easy stir-fry combines prawns, squid, vegetables, and a flavourful garlic soy sauce for a delicious restaurant-style meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 500g Lian Huat Hokkien Noodles
  • 200g prawns, peeled
  • 150g squid, sliced
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp of crushed
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup bok choy or choy sum
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 2 spring onions, sliced

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ cup chicken or seafood stock

Method

Cook Lian Huat Hokkien noodles in boiling water for 1 minute, then drain well.

Heat oil in a large wok or pan over high heat. Add garlic and onion, then stir-fry until fragrant.

Add prawns and squid, cooking briefly until just cooked through.

Add carrot and bok choy, then stir-fry for another 1–2 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients.

Add noodles to the pan, pour over the sauce, and toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.

Finish with spring onions and serve hot.
